All work was originally recorded at double speed, then pitched down and slowed to 50%. The work continues the concept of music intended for relaxation, and the tracks eventually drop to a very slow pace, low pitch, and even low volume.

The title is THE SECOND TONE because this is the second entry in the TONE series, and as an homage to Suzanne Ciani's Seven Waves.
